Turmi – Omo

The project is located in the Southern part of Ethiopia within the SNNPRS region, covering a total length of 56.71 km. The road has a 7 m carriageway with 1.5 m shoulders on each side in rural areas, while in town sections the width expands to 21.5 m. It includes five bridges (two with 12 m spans and others with 16 m, 24 m, and 40 m spans), along with 3 slab culverts, 16 box culverts, and 97 pipe drains to ensure proper drainage. The pavement surface is constructed to a double bituminous surface treatment standard, suitable for the predominantly flat and rolling terrain. Delivered under a design and build contract, the project is financed by the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with a construction cost of USD 38.57 million.
