Mintamir – Metehbila – Metehara

The project is located in the eastern part of Ethiopia within the main Ethiopian Rift Valley system, with a total length of 82 km. It has a 7 m carriageway and 0.5 m shoulders on each side, forming a two‑lane road. The pavement surface is constructed to asphalt concrete standards, supported by five existing bridges and two new bridges. Designed to withstand the predominantly mountainous and escarpment terrain, the project is delivered under a Design and Build contract. It is financed by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at a construction cost of USD 47.44 million.
