Robe – Goro – Sofumer

The project is located in the Bale Zone of the Oromia Region in Ethiopia and covers a total length of 120.65 km. The pavement surface standard is asphalt concrete. The project includes four bridges: three reinforced concrete box girder (RCBG) bridges and one reinforced concrete deck girder (RCDG) Bailey bridge, located at Adiro River (km 12+400), Mana-1 River (km 47+02), Mana-2 River (km 66+345 and km 72+930), and Weyeb River (km 103+482), with span lengths of 30 m, 30 m, 40 m, and 80 m respectively. Additionally, there are 6 slab culverts and 26 box culverts with spans ranging from 3 m to 6 m. Constructed across flat, rolling, mountainous, and escarpment terrains, the project was delivered under the Design-Bid-Build method and financed by the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The total construction cost amounts to ETB 8,798,168,439.12 (USD 165,313,850.50).
